The National Information Technology Development Agent(NITDA) through her academy seeks to apply effective and sustainable solutions to build capacity and develop skills of Nigerians in emerging IT sectors and drastically reduce the unemployment rate in the IT Sector by bridging the widening skills gap in the sector.
The Agency through its academy has developed a vocational training program with newly formed curriculums.
The IT Vocational training will play a central role in preparing young people for work, develop their skills and respond to the labour-market’s need.

In line with its capacity building programmes, NITDA conceived the idea of setting-up an Academy that will serve as the Foremost Centre of Excellence for Research and Development (R&D) in Emerging Technologies in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and related entrepreneurial skills.
The NITDA Academy for Research and Training (NART), is envisioned to strengthen National technological capabilities of Nigerians in order to bridge the professional skills gap between industry and academia, while also promoting and inclusive ICT driven society.
In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) through its NITDA Academy for Research and Training (NART) initiates the Learning Never Stop Programme.
