
We are looking for an organized, highly analytical, self-driven front-end WordPress web developer who will support the marketing team with day-to-day maintenance and enhancement of the LightBox website, a crucial tool for the organization’s marketing and communications efforts, as well as other marketing-related web development functions.
Reporting to the Engineering department, this a key role that will work with teams and departments across the organization to establish a digital governance strategy and make regular content updates across the website, incorporate best practices including accessibility and search engine optimization, and maintain brand consistency across the website. They will also help to conduct user research and optimize user experience across the site. Additionally, they will support SEO and build dedicated landing pages for paid campaigns as well as regular website reporting, analytics, and operations, and will contribute to the overall marketing and digital strategy of LightBox.
What you will do and achieve
- Build, maintain, and optimize features, functionality, and processes for Lightboxre.com and sunset legacy websites.
- Build engaging and interactive web pages in WordPress from PSDs, Adobe XD which are responsive and SEO friendly.
- Manage and execute content updates on Lightboxre.com.
- Manage web projects from scoping/requirements gathering, all the way through sign-off, QA, launch, and ongoing optimization.
- Outline digital governance framework in partnership with marketing, legal, IT and, dev ops.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team comprising marketers, designers, and developers to continuously deliver improvements.
- Introduce and improve web development standards, tooling, and processes.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX and SEO standards and best practices.
- Support the creation and deployment of new marketing campaigns across the website, including personalization, and other conversion rate optimization experiments.
- Manage code deployments, updates, and releases.
- Debug issues across the website and uplevel its reliability, usability, and flexibility.
- Manage creation of landing pages for paid media campaigns.
- Directly work with product marketing, legal, and demand generation marketing to understand and collaborate on requirements.
- Closely collaborate with marketing automation and performance marketing to provide monthly web traffic reporting and proactively offer continual recommendations for improvements.
This is an exempt position within the $85K to $94K range based on a 40-hour work week.
Who you are
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science or related) and 3+ years of professional experience.
Experience
- 3+ years of professional experience in front end web development with strong hand coding experience in WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, responsive design frameworks, jQuery.
Key Knowledge & Skills
- WordPress & WP Engine experience required.
- Knowledge and experience incorporating Search engine optimization (SEO) best practices.
- Google products platform: Google Analytics (incl GA4), Tag Manager, Data Studio, Search Console.
- Experience managing and updating a portfolio of websites.
- A strong eye for design and layout and web/mobile UI/UX.
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with complex business requirements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with changing priorities.
- Well organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Resourceful team player with a growth mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience with applications such as Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), SEMRush, Yoast, WP Rocket, Rocket CDN, and Gravity Forms.
- Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Adobe XD.
- Salesforce & Pardot experience.
- Experience with optimizing pages for conversion and demand generation.
- Familiarity and experience with A/B testing and implementing dynamic content.
