10.Architect Trainee
Job Position: Architect Trainee
Job Location: Benin City, Edo
Job Overview:
We are seeking talented Architect Trainees to join our team in Benin City, Edo. This one-year training program aims to provide successful candidates with comprehensive architectural knowledge and skills.
At the end of the program, outstanding trainees will be offered permanent employment opportunities with the esteemed Edo State Government.
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage in the design and conceptualization of buildings.
- Collaborate with sponsors, beneficiaries, and allied professionals to assess project requirements and feasibility.
- Prepare designs and specifications for public buildings.
- Inspect and assess new developments, projects, or building/facility conversions, upgrades, or renovations to ensure compliance with the Masterplan.
- Oversee and manage architectural firms or consultants contracted by the State for the execution of various aspects of the Masterplan.
- Review and approve designs prepared by the private sector to ensure alignment with the Masterplan before development.
- Educate the public periodically about various aspects of the Masterplan and emphasize the importance of adherence.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second Class Lower) or HND (minimum of Lower Credit) in Architecture.
- Possession of a Master’s Degree in Architecture and registration with ARCON will be an added advantage.
- Evidence of NIA registration is also an added advantage.
- Candidates must possess an NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
- Proficiency in computer usage, along with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, is essential for effective teamwork.
- Applicants must be within the ages of 22-30.
- Experience in the use of CAD & GIS Tools will be considered a valuable addition.
